Backpacks for school children

In Burkina Faso, particulary in rural area, a parent will do his best to get notebooks and pens for a school kid. But backpack is a luxury! So, you will see most of students holding their notebooks in their empty hands (see pictures of two 10th grade students in my village).
Would you consider helping a school kid with a backpack?
Your donation will be greatly appreciated!

Special Fund Doctor Yacouba Ouattara

Doctor Yacouba Ouattara was a graduate medical student who was volunteering at the Hospital of Bobo-Dioulasso, in Burkina Faso/ West Africa, where he passed away at age of 30, on March 11th, 2015, from a complicated appendicitis surgery.

Yacouba passed away 2 months after his wedding, and left his wife pregnant.

Before his death, Yacouba told his mother that if he passes away, he does not want them to make sacrifices for him; instead, he wants them to buy cereals and give it away to people in need in their neighborhood.

The Family respected Yacouba’s Will, and gave cereals away to needy people the 1st Sunday after Yacouba’s death.

Report says that Yacouba was the doctor of needy people at the Hospital of Bobo-Dioulasso:

He will always beg his co-workers to care for those who were at the Hospital without money, and those people in need will get all their exams done at the Hospital for free.

In memory of Doctor Yacouba, Hope For Desperate Hearts charity has created a special fund named « Special Fund Doctor Yacouba Ouattara ».

The Special Fund Doctor Yacouba Ouattara serve to buy cereals for people in need in Burkina Faso.

The fund also help people in need at the Hospital of Bobo-Dioulasso, where Yacouba was Volunteering.

Your donation is greatly appreciated in keeping Doctor Yacouba’s memory alive, and providing for people in need.

God bless you!
